Taking a bath in the early morning in Ganga river is one of the rituals here, many peoples take a bath and legends say that taking a bath in this river will remove all guilt/sin of yours. The water in the river is very clean and fresh.

Lakshman Jhula

Lakshman Jhula is a bridge which is the most important identification of here. The bridge connects two villages, Tapovan in the Tehri Garhwal district and Jonk in the Pauri Garhwal district.

The Lakshman Jhula is at a height of 70 feet and 450 feet long. Lord Lakshman, brother of Lord Ram crossed this river with using only two ropes and the bridge is an honour to Lord Lakshman.

In 1924, October the bridge was washed away in a flood but in 1939 the bridge was rebuilt with iron but the name and the path were not changed. And now the bridge is known as the Lakshman Jhula. If you visit here it will be a beautiful memory.

Auli

Auli is very popular among travellers. Auil can be the best place, besides the noisy city places. Auli is a beautiful state of Uttarakhand. Skiing is a famous sport here, if you want to learn Skiing you can here.

A small skiing resort is covered in a 5 to 7 km area, it is situated at 2800 meter from the sea level. The mountains covered with snow looks very beautiful. The air here is very cold because of the place Apple orchards, old oaks and pine trees.

The nature lovers will love this place. Here you will get skiing training of 7 days non-certificate and 14 days certificate training.

Want to learn Skiing? Learn the art of skiing, the 7 days non-certificate training cost Rs 4710 to Indian tourists and Rs 5890 for foreign tourist, and if you want to learn 14 days certificate training the Rs 9440 is for Indian tourist and Rs 11800 for the foreign tourists the fee can be increased or decreased by the seasons.

When there is a heavy snowfall here the number of tourist increases and the hotels gets full. If you want to do camping then you have to spend at least Rs 1500 to Rs 4000 per day.

The best time to visit Auli is in the months of December to March. In this month’s heavy snowfalls and this months are very good for skiing.

Badrinath

Badrinath is located at the hills of Himalayan, One of the best Hill stations in Uttarakhand, ‘Badrinath’ is a Hindu temple which is surrounded by beautiful hills and snow
