In India, state governments are giving very good impetus to increase milk in their state. Because it is becoming very difficult to supply milk against the growing population of India.
In many states, production of milk has increased significantly as the environment is conducive to animal husbandry, as well as adequate equipment for animal husbandry.
State governments have started developing the dairy industry on a large scale to boost animal husbandry. So that the milk produced by the farmer can get a fair price and the milk can be packed well and sent to the urban area.
A state like Gujarat has set up co-operative dairies in every district under the Amul brand. Amul is currently the largest dairy in Asia.
And so the production of milk in Gujarat is increasing year by year.
In milk production, Uttar Pradesh ranks first with 32009 metric tons, But there is no industrial structure.
Then Rajasthan ranks second with 24710 metric tan. And Madhya Pradesh ranks third with 16211 metric tan.
