Introduction of Cricket

Firstly, talking about the Introduction of Cricket, Cricket is a game played with bat or ball between two teams having eleven players each team on the stadium at the center of ground there is a 20-meter pitch having 3 wickets both sides, wickets having two bails on their top and there is a boundary of ground for hitting four or six. The purpose of the game is to score more runs than your opposing team.

There are two innings in a game for each team when one team play the role of fielding two players of another team are on the ground for playing the role of batting. It is decided before the match which team will play batting first or bowling first. Before the game, both team’s captains came in-ground and flip a coin for toss winner of toss select their first role for the match (Batting or Fielding).

There are 4 umpires for giving correct decisions at different roles Two umpires are on the ground umpire and the third umpire looks all things via computerized cams or take decision when ground umpire fails to take the decision or the fourth umpire plays the role of reserve umpire he is performing duties like test the ball or bring the new ball or carrying drinks for ground umpires or support of all umpires for their work.

History of Cricket

When talking about the History of Cricket, Cricket was started from 16th century having originated by England, it becomes the national country sport in the 18th century and has developed in the 19th or 20th century. The first grand match of cricket played by members of Royal Amateur Society or Hampton Court Green on the 3rd of August, 1836. In 1963, Cricket introduced with limited-overs cricket from this rule the number of cricket matches in limited time has increased or giving sure result in limited time.

The first limited international cricket was played in 1971 by the governing International Cricket Council (ICC). ICC is the global governing body of cricket founded on the 15th of July, 1909.   • WicketKeeper: Player who is behind the wickets to catch the ball.
  • Runs: When batsman hit the ball or run from one crease to another without fielder hitting the ball to wickets that’s a single run if player complete 2,3 or 4 round between the crease then they collect 2,3 or 4 runs, if batsman hit the ball or ball goes out of boundary with the contact of the ground then it adds 4 runs to score or if balls go directly to the boundary without any contact with the ground then it’s 6.
  • Over: Bowler throws 6 consecutive balls.
  • Wide ball: – If bowler throw balls but it’s going out from the crease line then it’s a wide ball or add 1 run in batting team or bowler can re-throw this ball.
  • No ball: – If Bowler throws any type of illegal delivery to the batsman this can add 1 run in batting scorecard or batsman hit the ball or make runs as all normal deliveries or if batsman got out umpire gives it not out expect run out.
  • Leg Byes: Leg byes, when a batsman hit by the ball on his body or they complete the run this run is added in the team score in extra runs.
  • Byes: When batsman did not touch the ball by any part of body or bat and they completed a run this is also added in batting team’s scorecard.

Modes of Cricket

5 Major Types Of 🏏 Cricket

There are 5 major types of cricket as follows:

1.) International Cricket

International cricket matches are played between different-different countries, All International tournaments organized by ICC (International Cricket Council) there are three main forms of International cricket.

  • Test Match: Test matches are the international form of First-class Fixture Test match is the longest form of Cricket matches they take 5 days for a single match with three seasons.
  • One-Day Internationals: ODIs, in this form of the match there is a fixed maximum 50 overs for a single innings this form of the match takes approx. 6-7 hours for a single match.
  • T20 Internationals: In this form of the match there is a fixed of 20 overs for a single innings this form of the match takes approx. 4 hours for a single match.
