What Is Keyword Research?

Keyword research is a process of finding words and phrases that people use to search their query in the search engines to get their answers.

And, once you start a blog, you need to find those words and phrase to optimize your content using these terms to rank in search engines.

Why Keyword Research Is Important?

Keyword research is very important if you want to rank your content in the search engine’s page.

Suppose, if you have created an informational content that can help people in any way but your content is not getting people’s attention that much you have expected nor ranking in search engines.

You know why?

It’s simple,

You haven’t used the words or phrases in your content that people are using.

So, do you want to know how you can find these keywords?

It’s easy.

But first,

You have to decide your Niche.

What Is Niche?

A niche is a topic on which you are going to make your content or blogs.

In simple words, suppose you know the health benefits of drinking a “Green Tea”.

Then,

“Green Tea” is your Niche.

Now let’s find out the keywords for “Green Tea”.

How to Find Keywords?

There are so many ways to find keyword ideas for your content.

Let me show you these ways step by step.

1. Google Search Engine for Keyword Research.

I just searched for “Green Tea” and found these great keyword ideas at the beginning of my research in Google Search Page.

And,

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page and then you will see 8 more “Searches Related to Green Tea”.

These above keywords are suggested by Google. That means these are very popular terms that people are searching around the world.

You can optimize your content around these keywords.

More golden keywords come from Google’s suggestion.

Just “Click” on the “best green tea”

And again, scroll down to the bottom of the page.

As you can see, there are many more keyword ideas you are getting from Google.

Even you can create an article on each keyword or you can use them to enhance the relevancy for the particular topic.

Still,

There are two more ways in Google’s Search where you can get keyword phrases.

Frist is: Type your keyword and press space for once:

There you will also see a bunch of keywords.

And the second one is, just type your keyword in Google Search Bar and move your cursor form end to the first character.

Then, press “Space Bar” before your keyword and see more ideas.

Wow, now you have got more keywords.

2. YouTube Suggestions.

YouTube suggestions are also good and again it’s a Google-owned company.

You can make a proper detailed video on “Green Tea” and can add it to your page. That can help you to maintain your page’s bounce rate.

Let’s see how.

If you want to target any specific country then you can also change it on YouTube.

Just click on three dots that will give you these options.

Now I’m going to show you a different platform but is very useful to get content ideas.

3. Reddit.

There you will get a very wide range of content ideas that can also help you.

See example:

Wait.

I know the above processes seem to be very lengthy in the beginning.

Let’s see what are these and why it’s important.

How to Choose Best Keyword for Ranking in Google?

Nowadays, the demand for English content is increasing day by day and that’s why you will see very high competition to rank for your keyword.

However, if you plan to target only your country then chances are better to rank for those keywords if you create content in the language which is commonly used in your country.

Or,

If you have decided to target the world then you have to make your content in an internet’s preferred language that is English.

Let me show you some easiest way to rank in Google or any other search engines.

I hope you have heard about Short Tail Keywords and Long Tail Keywords.

Let me give you a quick overview.

Short tail keywords are often used as Head terms.

These are very highly competitive keywords, basically one- or two-word phrases.

For example:

green tea” is a Short Tail Keyword which is very highly competitive to rank.

And,

Long-tail keywords are somewhere easiest to rank.

These keywords will have low competition and are three-four-five-word phrases.

For example:

benefits of green tea for skin” is Long Tail Keyword which less competitive to rank.

Tip For beginner blogger:

You should always focus on long-tail keywords if you are beginning your blogging journey.

Conclusion.

As per my knowledge, keyword research plays a very big role in creating any new blog.

However, there are other factors too to rank on the first page but you are just starting a blog then you should always research your keywords very carefully.

Why?

Because I have seen so many bloggers, they start their first blog and creates content on a very highly competitive keyword.

And, when they don’t rank than they just leave their blogging journey or struggles to rank for so many months and years.

So, better if you are just starting then do your keyword research on the topic which you have selected.

And again, I will suggest you start with long-tail keywords first which helps you in the long run.

I hope you found this article very helpful.
