Mahendra Singh Dhoni, commonly known as M S Dhoni, captain coll is an Indian cricketer who captained the Indian national team in limited-overs formats from the year 2007 to 2016 inTest cricket from the year 2008 to 2014. 

He is the most successful captain in Indian history. He is the only captain in the history who won all International Cricket Council (ICC) trophies.

M S Dhoni Biography

Dhoni was born on 7 July 1981 at Rach Bihar which is now in Jharkhand state. His Father’s name is Pam Singh and his mother’s name is Devki. He has a sister Jayanti and a brother Narendra. 

Mahendra Singh Dhoni did his basic schooling from DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir shamli Ranchi. Now he is famous for cricket but in his childhood, he was fond of badminton and football. Then, on the advice of his football coach, he joined the cricket team. 

Due to good performance as a wicketkeeper in cricket, he became a regular wicket-keeper in commando cricket club and due to good performance in the cricket club, he was selected for Vinoo Mankad Trophy in 1997-1998 where he performed very well.

Dhoni applied for Railway TTE where he qualified for the exam. After that, he worked as a TTE in the South Railway of Kharagpur Railway Station. While working as TTE he stayed part of Ranji Trophy.

In 2003 he was selected in Class A team of Indian Cricket Team for a tri-series where he scored 362 runs in 7 matches. After this performance, Saurav Ganguly was very impressed with him and he was selected on the 2004-2005 tour of Bangladesh.

In 2007 Dhoni became captain of the Indian International Team. 2007 India won the first T20 world cup and then in 2011 India grab a One-day international trophy. In 2008 he was awarded ICC one-day player of the year and also awarded Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award.

On 30 December 2014 he announced his retirement from test cricket and then on 4 January 2014 he left captaincy from one-day and T20 cricket but he will continue to play as a batsman and a wicketkeeper.

M. S. Dhoni was accused in the 2013 IPL that Dhoni was involved in “match-fixing”. Subsequently, it was revealed that Dhoni holds a 15% stake in a company called Riti Sports. It also included Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja. 

It was said that Dhoni favored these two because the more matches they played, the more money they would invest in this company. Raina and Jadeja, including Dhoni, were believed to have violated the BCCI norms, but the whole affair disappeared and Dhoni remained the captain of the team.

The ODI series was being played between India vs Bangladesh. In a match of the series, Dhoni pushed the Bangladeshi bowler Mustafizur Rahman. In fact, during the Indian innings.

While Mahendra Singh Dhoni was running between the wickets and taking runs, Rahman was coming in his way. Rahman was deliberately doing so continuously. in the match against South Africa. The controversy about which increased so much that ICC and BCCI came face to face. Later, under ICC rules, Dhoni was denied the use of this badge on the field. Dhoni also landed on the field after removing the badge from his gloves in the next match.

The no-ball was awarded because of the height, so the decision depends on the leg umpire. The leg umpire did not give any ball, after which Dhoni came on the ground in a fit of rage and confronted the umpire.he had to lose a large part of his match fees for behaving like this to the umpire.
