What Is SEO Friendly Content?

SEO friendly article increases the content’s ranking position or visibility in the search engines and also increases the credibility of your article on how useful your blog post is for the people that helps your website to gain visitors or traffic.

In simple words,

Always write for people and optimize it for search engines is called SEO friendly article.

So, let’s check out how can you write.

How To Write SEO Friendly Blog Post?

There are several ways you can write an SEO friendly blog post.

But first,

Let me show you how can you write content for people.

1. Use Long-Tail Keywords.

Yes, it always starts with a keyword on which you want to rank.

If you are a beginner in blogging then I would highly recommend that you use only long-tail keywords initially that can help to boost your website’s ranking in search engines.

Here is the long-tail keyword example.

Best Mobile Phones Under 10000 is more specific and a long tail keyword that people use to search for.

Please note: Never use Clickbait titles or headings. It will harm your website and Google will penalize your website.

2. Write Eye-catching Headlines.

Writing eye-catching headlines encourages people to click on your post.

It also improves your Click Through Rate (CTR) that help search engines to rank you higher if the most number of people click on your post.

Here’s an example.

It is found that most people click on the headlines that have numbers.

So, if you are creating any post in which you can use numbers instead of normal heading then you must include numbers.

3. Write Short Sentences.

Yes, that’s matters a lot. Mostly, people don’t read long paragraphs, even I also don’t read.

So, the best way is to split your long paragraphs into short sentences.

If you have noticed, I haven’t used long paragraphs in this article. Instead, you will see there are so many short sentences.

In simple words, your sentences should be short and sweet.

4. Don’t Use Big Words.

Big words are those words that are difficult to understand.

See difference:

Big WordsSmall Words

When I started blogging, I read so many blogs.

Some of them are very hard to understand because of the big words they used so I left them in the middle and some are easy that I read the whole from start to finish.

So, as per my experience, I found simple small words are easier to read than the big words. Even most big famous bloggers and marketers also suggest this.

The best thing about using simple small words that it helps people who don’t know much English and doesn’t require any dictionary.

5. Use Examples In Content.

Use examples as much as you can. Because it helps the reader to understand what you are exactly telling them by giving them examples and it also makes your content more interesting to read.

For example:

You wrote a blog post on Best Deals On Air Purifier On Amazon Only For Today.

Then, you must include an image or screenshot from Amazon where it says Only For Today.

Or,

If you are writing blogs on a particular food recipe then you should use the images of the ingredients for better understanding.

And, if you can then make a video on that then include it in your blog post as well.

Another example for better understanding.

PM Modi became India’s first Prime Minister who is followed by the United States The White House on Twitter.

6. Write SEO Friendly Content In Conversational Format.

Yes, write like you are talking with your reader.

Conversational content format is very helpful for the reader to read and you for writing.

By doing this, your user feels like you are talking with him and for him only.

For example.

People found useful. So, you can try as well.

Instead, you can write.

I found it useful. And, you should also try.

7. Content-Length.

I saw so many bloggers write short blog posts. That is not a good practice.

The first thing that you should do is keyword research and see the search engine’s top 10 results & examine the length of the article that is already ranking.

Suppose, you wrote a blog post with 400-500 words in it. But, the results in a search engine are available with 800-900 words per content.

So you should write an article at least longer than 900-1000 words per content. As it helps to rank your content on multiple keywords.

Now, Let’s see how can you optimize your content for search engines.

How To Optimize Content for SEO?

Well, you already know if you don’t optimize your content for SEO or search engines then your content won’t rank. No matter how well you have written the content.

And, always keep in mind that you have to write the best content with good optimization.

Let’s see how to optimize content for SEO.

1. Keyword In Main Title Tag or H1 heading.

Always include your focus keyword on which you want to rank in your Main Title or H1 heading.

Because, when search engines robots come to your page they read the title first then scans the other page’s content.

So, you should let them know what your topic is about.

Here’s an example:

2. Keyword In Page URL or Permalink.

You should always place your keyword in the page’s URL or permalink.

Because your page’s URL also shows on the search engine’s result page. So that’s a very good opportunity for you.

Here is an example.

3. Place Your Keyword In Meta Description.

Your page’s meta description is also visible in the search engine’s result.

A meta description is a quick summary of your page, where you can encourage people what’s in your content and why they should read your article.

So, use it there as well.

Here is an example:

4. Include Keyword In First 50-100 Words.

Make sure you use your keyword once within your first 50-100 words or paragraph or sentence.

Here’s an example:

If you look at it closely, then you see they have used their keyword in 3rd sentence but still tried to cover it under 50 words.

5. Use Keyword In Subheadings.

When you write an article then you write sub-headings as well. So, you can use your keywords in your higher-level sub-headings such as H2 sub-heading.

For example:

keyword in sub-heading-SEO content

6. Place Keyword In Image’s ALT-Text.

Image’s Alt text as known as Image name.

You know search engine’s robots are not humans and can’t see content in an image that’s why when they crawl your website, they also crawl your image names as well.

So, whenever you use any image then make sure you include your keyword in that image as an ALT TEXT so that robots will understand what is your image about.

For example:

Just go to Google and search for iPhone 11 images, then you will get several images of the iPhone 11.

That means every picture showing in the search result page has “iPhone 11” in their image’s alt text.

7. SEO Friendly Content Interlinking to Your Other Blog posts.

Interlinking your other web pages helps search engine’s crawler to go through your other web pages and rank them as well.

In simple words,

If you are writing a blog post on “how to make white sauce pasta” and you already have a blog post on “how to make red sauce pasta or varieties of pasta”

Then, you should interlink these pages as well.

Here’s an example:

8. Use LSI keywords.

Latent Semantic Indexing is known as LSI keywords.

In other words,

You can say LSI keywords are equivalent to Relevant keywords.

When you search for a particular thing then your search engine suggests other relevant keywords as well that are similar to your search intent.

I would highly recommend you to use as many relevant keywords as you can but, according to the relevancy of your topic and heading or paragraph.

Here’s an example:

I searched for “how to lose weight” then scroll down to the bottom of the page and see google is suggesting me “Searches related to how to lose weight

Which means people are also searching for these keywords.

searches related to how to lose weight

Again, just type “how to lose weight” and “enter space” after weight, then you will see more keywords that you can use in your blog content.

related search

9. Use Structured Data.

Structured data is a very powerful thing you can use it in your blog post. It is also known as “Rich Snippets”.

Suppose, one of your blog posts is ranking in google’s first page top 10 results at the number 3rd position.

And, you have used structured data in your content then chances are higher for your blog post to be Featured as “Rich Snippets” before the number 1st position.

Let me know show how it looks in search engine.
